This role sits within the Recipient Experience team, a critical group focused on how customers experience delivery, fulfillment, and post-purchase interactions. The team partners across Product, Technology, Operations, and Business to design and deliver scalable solutions that improve customer satisfaction, drive engagement, and unlock growth.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Staff-level Technology Operations leader to drive end-to-end portfolio management and customer-centric strategy across the Recipient Experience domain. This role blends strategic planning with operational execution-owning prioritization, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and translating business goals into actionable roadmaps.
You will operate as both a portfolio leader and a strategic operator-connecting long-term vision to day-to-day execution-while shaping how Walmart delivers personalized, intuitive experiences to millions of customers.

What You'll Do
End-to-End Portfolio Leadership
  • Own the Recipient Experience portfolio roadmap, aligning Product, Technology, and Business priorities across quarterly and annual planning cycles
  • Drive Annual Operating Plan (AOP) inputs, ensuring alignment to strategic goals and measurable outcomes
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define, prioritize, and sequence initiatives based on customer impact and business value
  • Orchestrate quarterly and sprint-level planning (sortable execution), ensuring clarity of priorities and accountability across teams
  • Translate high-level strategy into actionable execution plans-driving delivery against key milestones and commitments

Strategic Account & Experience Management
  • Lead strategy and execution for customer experience initiatives-including account setup, onboarding, and engagement flows
  • Drive innovation in personalization strategy-shifting from passive behavioral insights to proactive, declared customer preferences (e.g., interests, attributes, intent signals)
  • Partner cross-functionally to design experiences that are intuitive, personalized, and scalable across customer segments
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, reduce friction, and enable growth through better experience design

Cross-Functional Influence & Execution
  • Serve as a connective leader across Product, Tech, Operations, and Business stakeholders-ensuring alignment and clear communication
  • Articulate the "why" behind priorities and investments, driving clarity and executive alignment
  • Operate as a hands-on problem solver-navigating ambiguity, removing blockers, and accelerating decision-making
  • Bring a structured, hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving and execution

What You'll Bring
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in technology operations, product operations, management consulting, or a related field
  • Experience working in eCommerce, digital product ecosystems, or customer-facing platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority
  • Strong experience in portfolio management, roadmap planning, and prioritization at scale
  • Ability to connect strategy to execution-driving measurable outcomes in complex environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in management consulting or strategy roles with strong problem-solving rigor
  • Experience working on customer experience, personalization, or digital engagement initiatives
  • Familiarity with large-scale, matrixed organizations and agile execution models
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth digital or transformation environments

You'll Make an Impact By
  • Driving clarity and structure across complex, cross-functional portfolios
  • Elevating the customer experience through intentional, data-informed personalization strategies
  • Connecting long-term strategic vision to near-term execution with discipline and speed
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and aligning teams toward shared outcomes
