The Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Program is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join a team of Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) members to contribute to various projects at various stages throughout the system lifecycle.
The Staff Systems Engineer for CMC Test Integration is responsible for ensuring successful testing and test integration efforts supporting Missile System Verification (MSV) on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Program. The successful candidate will function as the Technical Lead assessing impacts of changes to the Strategic Programs Official Schedule Estimate and System Test Documentation to testing efforts on First of Class (FoC) of COLUMBIA and Dreadnought Submarines. To ensure that MSV testing needs are met with Sea Trial and Demonstration & Shakedown Operations (DASOs), the successful candidate will participate and be primary Technical lead in various technical Working Groups that require integration for test data collection events to deliver required test data to support CMC MSV.
Excellent integration and communication within LM, other Contractors, Navy, and DoD Customers will ensure Missile Requirements are met. The successful candidate will provide technical support for critical reviews such as Flight Safety Review (FSR) and Flight Readiness Review (FRR).
As a Staff Systems Engineer - Test Integration team member you will:
• Apply Systems Thinking while playing a leading role in, Integration, Requirements Verification, and Deployment of hardware schedules to support MSV
• Perform strategic technical and schedule planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk/cost, and supportability and effectiveness analyses that affect Missile Branch efforts
• Successfully integrate and work collaboratively with internal LM Stakeholders within SEIT, Field Engineering, Flight Sciences, SWS Contractor Community, Navy, and DoD Customers to meet Missile and SSBN testing needs
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trades, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to ensure the total system solution meets the mission
• Development of documentation for socialization of CMC system solutions for interfaces to other FBM contractors and Customers are generated using appropriate DOD OD and SSPINTs
• Coordinate verification activities, including analysis, testing, and demonstration with internal and external stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira and/or other Agile tools and processes
• Familiarity with MBSE tools and common modeling approaches
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools and applications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required
Desired skills
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Master's Degree in relevant field
• Familiarity with US Navy Ship systems (SSBNs preferred
• Proven work experience on the FBM program assessing impacts of changes to interfaces
• Familiarity with risk and opportunity management policies and procedures
• Experience with opportunity management methodologies and tools
• Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
• Systems Modeling software experience (Cameo/MagicDraw/Rhapsody)
• Familiarity with MBSE translation and implementation from previous documentation to an integrated data set within the digital thread
• Familiarity with US Navy Ship systems (SSBNs preferred)
• Demonstrated competency in the review of interface documents, requirements, and impacts to the Trident II D5LE Missile
• Experience with developing products for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program
• Experience with process development and deployment
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and operations
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively
• Active DOD clearance
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $125,600 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
