We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to join the Responsive Flight Solutions (RFS) Demos team within IGNITE, initially supporting the Lynx program.

The RFS Demos team has a portfolio of on-orbit technology/mission demonstration programs. The team is structured to have an execution-focused core team (PM and SEIT functions) for each program, with support from the enterprise for supplementary skills and subject matter expertise. The RFS Demos team is responsible for the entire program life cycle, from conception through post-launch support.

What does this role look like?
  • Serve as an integration lead for different Electrical subsystems
  • Lead the definition of electrical system interfaces
  • Lead the definition, analysis, and recommendation of Trade Study options related to electrical systems
  • Perform data and document reviews and provide feedback for technical and program documentation
  • Support systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution and find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies
  • Apply your technical expertise and engineering judgment to drive decision-making, rather than simply following established processes or procedures.
  • Act as a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance, and who can effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Lead the team in executing these plans and will be comfortable making decisions in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in Class C/D, IRAD, or "go-fast" development environment
  • Experience identifying and managing risks, including targeted risk reduction
  • Demonstrated Systems Thinking, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, establish and maintain a big picture mindset, and assess design decision impacts


Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in integration, design, development, and test phases of Electrical products or subsystems
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • US Citizens Required to perform the task.


Desired Skills

  • Degree in Systems or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with channelization, power budget, power model, and electrical compatibility
  • Familiar with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space at the component through system level
  • Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
  • Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program
  • Strategic thinker who can take complex, high-level problems and break them down into manageable, actionable components.
  • Experience with MBSE concepts in DOORS and/or Cameo
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
