Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring overall form, fit, and function of new vehicle systems into a single complete system. The focus area of this position will be communications buses (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and protocols to drive commonality across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing system engineering best practices.
  • Define and maintain product level feature specifications, system layout, and documentation.
  • Work closely with platform architectural teams to ensure maximum component scalability and modularity.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand impacts of commonization of approaches.
  • Perform trades studies to assess options and document decision process.
  • Understand intended product end user needs.
  • Assist in defining product vision and roadmap.
  • Translate stakeholder needs to product requirements.
  • Define system level features and decompose those requirements into individual subsystem definitions and requirements.
  • Work across multiple engineering disciplines and development teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
  • Responsible for individual product design alignment with multi-product architectural strategy.
  • Ensure product aligns with applicable standards.
  • Work with product verification and validation to ensure system and components perform as needed.


Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field with 8+ years of engineering experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in software development process and software architectures
  • Experience in Ethernet communication standards and configuration
  • Experience in CAN communication standards


Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $137,475.00 - $210,795.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
