Job Details

This is a STAFF support position comparable to task requirements commonly performed in the Army S1, S2, and S3 departments and other government agencies that specifically focus on compliance with Army Regulation 525-2, The Army Protection Program (APP).

Ensuring full compliance with AR 525-2 drives our customers' direct requirement for proficient and professional STAFF support, which results in, but is not limited to, the development and delivery of applicable compliance reports, advance planning documents, providing situational guidance to subordinate elements, and other operational work products that support the basic pillars of the APP domain.

The required STAFF support may include preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations for senior-level attendees, recurring participation in relevant virtual working groups, conducting virtual weekly staff meetings, using the Access Control System for CAC access to the work site, developing and delivering associated Memorandums, Meeting Minutes and After-Action Reports, Excel Spreadsheets, Decision Papers with multiple courses of action, developing relevant tracking forms, and researching information associated with designated subject matter.

Additionally, STAFF support includes initiating, developing, and maintaining appropriate working relationships at the organization's subordinate element level, monitoring their compliance with applicable APP guidance, and responding to requests for interpretation and assistance. When tasked, prepare and conduct functional area briefings to increase understanding and awareness of the APP benchmark compliance requirements. STAFF support may be required in any of the Army Protection Program functional areas specifically associated within the Protection domain, not the Security domain.

Mandatory qualifications: Current Active Secret Clearance

Required Skills

  • Previous experience working in a staff position conducting document research, writing and staffing documents, preparing position and decision papers, executive summaries, information papers, memorandums, after-action reports, and other work-related internal documents.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations to senior-level military officers and government executives
  • Familiarity and experience with the Department of Army OPSEC (Level I) standards.
  • Knowledge and experience conducting military briefings.
  • Familiarity and experience with the Department of Army facility physical security standards.
  • Experience in coordinating, planning, and executing conferences within the Army Conference guidelines.
  • Proficiency with the use of Army Regulation 25-50 (Preparing and Managing Correspondence)
  • Functional knowledge of and ability to work with Windows-based automation programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and ETMS2.
  • Travel required as necessary - up to 15%.


Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Basic knowledge of the Army Protection Program (AR 525-2)
  • Previous experience in coordinating, planning, and executing conferences
  • Familiar with the US Army hierarchy, terminology, common acronyms, the Department of Army rank structure, and OPSEC Program.


Salary: DOQ

Mandatory computer-based training modules must be completed within 30 days of assignment to this position.

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
