Full Job Description
We are hiring for a Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Electronics to lead supplier readiness and launch execution for critical electronic components and assemblies.This role owns supplier industrialization for ECUs, PCBAs, TLAs, sensors, modules, and related electrical systems from sourcing through stable production.The ideal candidate has strong electronics manufacturing experience, supplier leadership skills, and the ability to drive technical issue resolution in a fast-paced launch environment. You Will: • Lead supplier readiness for electronics components and assemblies from sourcing through launch and stable production. • Drive APQP, LQP/PPAP, risk assessments, process controls, inspections, testing, capacity readiness, safe launch, and run-at-rate activities. • Partner with Engineering, GSM, Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers to resolve launch and production issues. • Review supplier process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, test strategies, capability data, validation plans, and launch readiness deliverables. • Assess supplier manufacturing systems, quality controls, traceability, test coverage, sub-supplier management, capacity, and change control. • Lead supplier audits, line walks, issue containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and recovery plans. • Communicate supplier readiness, launch risks, recovery plans, owners, timing, and decisions to leadership. • Mentor engineers and help standardize electronics supplier industrialization best practices. • Travel up to 20-30% for supplier and launch support. You Bring: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field; master's degree preferred. • 8+ years of experience in automotive electronics manufacturing, supplier industrialization, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, launch engineering, or technical program leadership. • Hands-on experience with ECUs, PCBAs, TLAs, sensors, embedded modules, electrical assemblies, or safety-related electronic systems. • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP/LQP, safe launch, run-at-rate, production validation, PFMEA, control plans, process capability, and manufacturing maturity. • Strong understanding of SMT and PCBA manufacturing, including solder quality, AOI, X-ray, ICT, EOL testing, ESD controls, and production test data. • Working knowledge of IPC, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 16750, ISO 7637, AEC-Q100/AEC-Q200, ISO 26262, and automotive validation practices. • Strong problem-solving skills using 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, DOE, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, capability analysis, and CAPA. • Proven ability to lead supplier recoveries, technical reviews, launch escalations, and executive updates. • Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience with Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA, Tableau, Arena, or similar systems is a plus. • Preferred certifications include ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt, VDA 6.3, IATF 16949 auditor, IPC certification, ASPICE awareness, or ISO 26262 training.
