Overview

Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care in a safe and effective manner in Pre-Op/PACU from admission to discharge.  Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation.

Representative duties include:

  • Collaboration with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
  • Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual, unit and organizational performance improvement.
  • Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RN’s.
  • Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.

 

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Healthcare Inc. The employee shall support AHMC-Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.  The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and other initiatives.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

One year acute care experience in Critical Care or PeriAnesthesia required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

 

 

Licenses/Certifications

Current CA RN license required

Current BLS-HCP required

Current ACLS (required within six months of hire/transfer for RNs new to the specialty)

Current PALS preferred
