Full Job Description
We9re looking for a detail-oriented Trust & Safety professional to ensure alignment with global regulatory frameworks and contribute to our Safety by Design initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of product, policy, and compliance-partnering across engineering, legal, and operations to translate regulatory obligations into thoughtful, user-centered safety product requirements.

You9ll need to be able to communicate effectively with engineers and data scientists. You9ll help teams understand regulatory requirements, evaluate the effectiveness of solutions, and advocate for features that advance user safety without compromising product usability. You9ll write compliance reports and help ensure our products meet both the spirit and the letter of the law.

This is a cross-functional role that requires clarity in writing, rigor in reasoning, and pragmatism in navigating ambiguity. You should be energized by tough product trade-offs, grounded in the realities of enforcement at scale, and thoughtful about how to design for safety in a proportionate way, user-respecting, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

How you9ll make an impact:
  • Work closely alongside our Legal team to translate safety regulations and codes of practice into actionable product requirements and design principles.
  • Act as a thought partner to product and engineering teams, especially on detection tooling, user-facing safety flows, and effectiveness measurement.
  • Evaluate safety system performance and make recommendations grounded in technical understanding (e.g., detection thresholds, false positives).
  • Write high-quality internal documentation, compliance narratives, and external-facing disclosures.
  • Serve as a cross-functional facilitator among product, legal, enforcement ops, data science, and more to align on safety system design and obligations.
  • Monitor evolving regional safety regulations and assess their implications for products and policies.
  • Contribute to external regulator briefings and product walkthroughs as required

We may be a Match if:
  • 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, product policy, or regulatory compliance, ideally with product-facing exposure.
  • Deep understanding of online harm types and interventions, including detection tooling and safety UX design.
  • Strong technical fluency-you9re comfortable analyzing detection performance metrics and communicating with engineers and product managers.
  • Excellent writing and reasoning skills; you produce clear, structured thinking in docs, even on complex topics.
  • Product mindset-you approach regulatory compliance and policy goals as design problems to solve, not boxes to check.
  • Familiarity with major global safety regulations affecting Trust & Safety..
  • Bonus: experience engaging directly with regulators or contributing to external transparency reports.
