Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a savvy, strategic Communications professional to shape and deliver compelling communications to support our Aeronautics Systems strategic communications team and executive leadership. Reporting to the director of Strategic Communications, this senior-level role is responsible for helping to strategically align and shape communications messaging for business priorities and supporting executive leadership messaging and prep.

This position will be filled as a level 5 based on education and experience requirements

You'll make a difference by:
  • Leading, preparing, and developing messaging for executive leadership to position Northrop Grumman priorities internally and externally
  • Overseeing and supporting messaging creation and content for business focus areas and priorities, partnering with functional colleagues and leadership to align to business objectives and messaging
  • Partnering with communications colleagues to develop a holistic and integrated communication strategy to achieve business and communication goals

Qualifications

Staff Employee Communications RepresentativeBasic qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and deploying strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 12 years of communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism experience, master's degree, and minimum of 10 years of communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism experience, or a PhD and minimum of 8 years of communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 25%


Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed, and/or geographically dispersed organization
  • Experience developing productive relationships with executives
  • Experience in technology, aerospace, defense, or other science-related business or government fields
  • Demonstrated judgment in decision making and leadership actions with capabilities to drive change through creative and/or other disruptive methods, ideas & approaches
  • Understanding of AP Stylebook
  • Experience with measurement tools and analyzing data


Primary Level Salary Range: $126,400.00 - $219,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
