Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Program Manager to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs spanning data center cards, servers, racks, and lab infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting end-to-end hardware programs, familiarity with data center environments and hyperscaler processes, and a proven ability to coordinate and execute across cross-functional engineering and operations organizations. This role requires strong execution leadership, sound judgment, and exceptional organizational discipline to support successful implementation of hardware solutions that align with business objectives and development timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive execution of a complex data center hardware program, or multiple related workstreams, from concept through delivery and sustaining, supporting schedule, budget, and quality commitments.
• Develop and maintain program scope, milestones, resource assumptions, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, facilities, procurement, and program leadership.
• Drive day-to-day program execution, including cross-functional coordination, issue resolution, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
• Manage program schedules and planning frameworks; proficiency with Microsoft Project or comparable tools is beneficial.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to support hardware procurement and delivery timelines.
• Provide clear program status updates, risks, and escalation paths to stakeholders and management.
• Track compliance activities related to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data center hardware development and sustaining operations.
• Track program budgets and financials, identify variances, and support cost-effective execution.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in program management with a track record of supporting complex, multi-disciplinary hardware programs.
• Hands-on experience with data center hardware and lab infrastructure development, testing, deployment, or vendor management.
• Strong understanding of data center operations, hardware components, and supporting infrastructure.
• High-level familiarity with software lifecycle concepts and reliability topics (e.g., RAS, Silent Data Errors) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to management and senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with program management tools and software.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in hyperscale data center design and operations.
• Project/Program Management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$175,300.00 - $262,900.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
