DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Staff Product Owner, located in Raynham, Massachusetts.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

The Senior Product Owner plays a critical role in advancing Supply Chain transformation at DePuy Synthes by identifying, designing, and scaling digital solutions that improve operational performance, visibility, and decision-making. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Business Technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into practical, value-driven digital capabilities. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape how digital innovation accelerates efficiency, resilience, and patient impact across the orthopedic supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical ownership in the delivery of digital solutions to support the digital capability pipeline - from concept through discovery, development, deployment and sustaining.
  • Partner with business project leaders and key stakeholders to identify product requirements, shape UX/UI design, and influence architecture of digital solutions - ensuring solutions are designed with end-user needs, usability, and change adoption in mind.
  • Working closely with the business to manage the development of product 'user stories' through the product software development cycle.
  • Lead cross-functional internal teams and/or external vendors to develop and execute solutions that meet the defined scope on time and at cost, ensuring projects meet business and quality standards.
  • Orchestrate feedback cycles between business owners and technical team, using an iterative approach to drive maximum value to the customer.
  • Develop and plan project work schedules, track expenditures, and prepare monthly reports as required, ensure effective communication of ideas, information, and risks to appropriate partners.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies in respect to all safety, QSR and environmental issues.
  • Partner with Business Technology, product owners, and Supply Chain leaders to define solution roadmaps, requirements, and success metrics - contributing to the identification of opportunities to apply digital tools, data, and automation to improve planning, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory performance.
  • Drive innovation pilots and proofs of concept, evaluating emerging technologies for scalability and business value.
  • Support business case development and prioritization of digital investments aligned to Supply Chain strategy.
  • Lead the implementation of new ways of work to continuously improve team operations and efficiency
  • Motivate and coach team to operational success / drive culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor performance of deployed digital solutions and continuously identify improvement opportunities.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data driven decision making within SC&O.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field).
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, digital transformation, or related operational roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or enabling digital initiatives in complex, regulated, or global environments.
  • Demonstrable experience working in Agile environments and applying Scrum. principles to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency leveraging tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and performance drivers.
  • Customer Obsession and strong facilitation skills, with a passion for distilling. complex business use cases into elegant solutions that delight users.
  • A bias towards action with strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and communicate clearly across functions - including proficiency in identifying and resolving conflicts constructively
  • Strong financial acumen with direct experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Ability to translate business needs into digital or technology-enabled solutions.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile certifications (SAFe, PMI-ACP, PSPO, CSPO, or equivalent).

Preferred:
  • Experience with digital supply chain tools (e.g., planning systems, analytics platforms, automation, or advanced visualization).
  • Experience with systems thinking, analytics and experiment design and a solid understanding of software development processes and concepts.
  • UX/UI design experience or familiarity partnering with UX/UI designers.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts.
  • Experience working with Business Technology or IT partners on solution delivery
  • Familiarity with E2E supply chain domains such as Planning , Manufacturing, Procurement, and Distribution within a MedTech or similar industry.
  • Change management or transformation program experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory, privacy, records management, and compliance requirements relevant to supply chain data, quality systems, and controlled business processes.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, life sciences) and requirements such as GxP and SOX.
