Primary ResponsibilitiesAs a
Staff Product Manager, you will serve as the hands-on product leader responsible for guiding two related product teams. The primary focus of this role is leading a large, consumer-facing healthcare product used by Veterans to securely access and manage sensitive medical information. You will also provide strategic oversight for a secondary Tier 3 support product while partnering with an existing product lead responsible for its day-to-day operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex stakeholder environments, can confidently navigate ambiguity, and has experience leading legacy modernization initiatives within Agile Scrum delivery teams.
Primary responsibilities include:- Lead product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a large healthcare-focused digital product supporting Veterans.
- Provide product leadership and strategic oversight for a secondary Tier 3 support product while partnering with an existing product lead.
- Serve as the primary product partner for government stakeholders, engineering teams, designers, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Drive legacy modernization efforts by helping transition users from legacy systems to modern digital experiences.
- Translate business objectives and user needs into prioritized product backlogs and actionable delivery plans.
- Partner with Scrum teams to deliver incremental value through an Agile development process.
- Balance competing priorities while making informed product decisions with incomplete information.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, risks, and tradeoffs to technical teams, executives, and government stakeholders.
- Collaborate across multiple organizations to remove blockers, align priorities, and successfully deliver product outcomes.
- Champion user-centered product decisions while balancing mission needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.
Required Skills- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Relevant years of experience may be substituted for education.
- 3+ years leading cross-functional Agile product teams.
- Experience serving as the primary product manager for externally facing digital products.
- Experience leading products using Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and stakeholder expectations in complex environments.
Clearance Requirements- An active Public Trust (Tier 2) security clearance is required on Day 1.
- Candidates who currently hold an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance are also encouraged to apply and will be fast-tracked through the required Public Trust clearance process.
- Must be able to maintain the required security clearance throughout employment.
Desired Skills- Experience leading consumer-facing healthcare or medical technology products, particularly products involving protected health information (PHI), medical records, patient portals, laboratory results, or clinical notifications.
- Experience supporting federal government digital services programs.
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
- Experience leading legacy modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting live production environments, including Tier 3 support, incident management, or operational product ownership.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility.
