About the Job

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our independent pharmacy team. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care, clinical services, and support to the pharmacy team. This role requires a strong commitment to community health, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verify, dispense, and counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Provide clinical services, including immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM).
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain patient medication profiles and ensure proper documentation in the pharmacy management system.
  • Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, duplications, and other medication-related issues.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on medication usage, side effects, storage, and adherence strategies.
  • Collaborate with prescribers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Supervise, train, and support pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, returns, and monitoring for shortages or recalls.
  • Participate in quality assurance, safety initiatives, and performance improvement activities.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and promote the pharmacy's role in the community.


Qualifications:

  • Immunization certification.
  • Pharmacist licensure in NJ.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, drug information, and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior community/retail pharmacy experience preferred.
