Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:
Pharmacists perform the day to day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing. Perform therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, the maintenance of patient profiles, attendance at cardio-pulmonary emergencies, drug therapy monitoring, and drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist is also responsible for directing technicians, performing inventory control, and actively precepting pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy
  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire
  • Must have current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Current BLS or ACLS upon hire
  • CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient9s medical management plan
