Responsibilities

This position is Full time working 8-hour shifts, rotating day shifts. Periodic weekends required.

What you will do:

The staff pharmacist evaluates providers' medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, frequency, route of administration and potential allergies and clinical interactions. The staff pharmacist makes recommendations for therapy changes to the provider as appropriate and/or manages therapies in accordance with medical staff approved pharmacy management protocols. The staff pharmacist checks all medications that are dispensed by the pharmacy and ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding medications. The staff pharmacist participates as a critical member of the clinical team and practices and promotes safe medication management.

Required Education:

Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or PharmD

Preferred Education:

Residency Trained

Preferred Skills:

Required Licensure/Registration Certification:
