Position Summary

Is a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS certified. Minimum of two years acute care experience, with one being in ICU preferred. Population is all age groups. Physical ability to perform all nursing duties. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the critical care setting. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities. Knowledge of mission and core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and managing critical patients, including those on life support.
  • Administering medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the physician.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records.

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and promoting patient safety.

  • One year of acute experience required.
  • Ability to interpret EKG monitors required.
  • Successful documented/observed competency during orientation required.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing required.
  • Additional languages preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, Nights

Pay: $65-$85/hour
