Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in Core development teams for NPI of AI DataCenter products.
  • Ensure product quality through compliance checks and readiness assessments.
  • Drive risk mitigation and quality control during product development.
  • Lead discussions on non-conforming materials and supplier performance management.
  • Manage end-to-end product quality from NPI to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers to address quality issues.
  • Facilitate corrective actions and preventive measures through task forces.

Full Job Description
General Summary:

Primary focus with New Product Introduction. Candidate will be the Quality Engineering representative and must be active participant within Core development teams to launch semi-conductor, PCIe/Server/Rack for AI DataCenter.
  • Ensure quality deliverables: reliability, supplier readiness, RMA readiness, and product readiness.
  • Represent Quality Engineering within core development teams and cross-functional partners (QRE, Packaging, PTE, Systems, Design, Ops, Suppliers).
  • Drive lessons learned, CAPA, and risk mitigation upstream during development.
  • Develop and execute AQL sampling plans and manage supplier quality performance.
  • Lead excursion escalation management, decision and disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Own product quality end-to-end (cradle-to-grave) across NPI and HVM.
  • Drive PRB/CCB reviews, gate readiness, and risk assessments.
  • Lead supplier qualification, process control, and continuous improvement actions (NCs, MRB, CAPA).
  • Provide guidance on NPI/PCN risk, manufacturing sensitivities (ESD, MSL, SMT), and support RMA/CQE.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Develop Supplier In Line OS Statical Limit and Correlation
  • Lead Task Force/CPI to drive corrective action and prevention


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality/Engineering function in PC or PCIe, CCA environment, Circuit Card Assembly, Printed Circuit Board, Semiconductor, Cloud Data Center, Server mobile or related industry.
  • Hands on knowledge/application of quality tools, statistics and problem-solving techniques. - PC/ PCIE or CCA and PC systems operation and testing knowledge highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the following soft skills: being proactive and taking initiative to drive issue resolution; having a teachable attitude; being a team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to clearly organize and articulate information - persuasive skills to deal with selling difficult information.
  • Strong presentation skills. PC systems understanding
  • high level understanding of the systems required to build a PC.
  • High level understanding of the key components such as RF Transceiver, Power Management, Codec.
  • Modems, etc and how they are expected to interact
  • understanding what certain failure symptoms point to in terms of areas contributing to customer issues.
  • General understanding of full breadth of engineering skills to enable interaction with the variety of engineers that will be dealt with during the debug of an issue.
  • Fab and SAT hands on experience and ASQ certification are desirable


Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$134,800.00 - $202,200.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
