Full Job Description
Role Scope
  • Own day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical cooling and mechanical systems: chillers, cooling towers, CRACs/CRAHs, CDUs (liquid and direct-to-chip), dry coolers, economizers, pumps, and piping, and enforce LOTO, confined-space, and refrigerant-handling safety.
  • Develop, review, and execute MOPs, EOPs, and AOPs for planned and emergency mechanical work, and coordinate third-party mechanical contractors on site.
  • Monitor BMS for cooling performance, alarm response, and capacity, and keep as-builts and P&IDs accurate after every modification.
  • Perform design and submittal reviews, and support new construction, capacity upgrades, and site audits from an operations perspective.
  • Take personal ownership of the thermal health of every data hall you support.
What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've come up through mechanical and cooling systems in mission-critical environments and you're as comfortable troubleshooting a chiller fault as reviewing a P&ID.
  • You operate and troubleshoot critical cooling plant hands-on (chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC, CDUs, pumps) in a live 24/7 environment.
  • You write and execute high-risk mechanical MOPs and manage contractors through them safely.
  • You read P&IDs and submittals well enough to catch problems in design review.
  • You treat thermal precision as non-negotiable for AI workloads.
  • Bonus: Hyperscale or large data center operations. Direct liquid cooling and CDU experience. Refrigerant handling certification. ASHRAE TC 9.9.

Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
