Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a
Staff Manufacturing Engineerto be based at
Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The
Staff Manufacturing Engineer will work with a talented team of engineers and assembly technicians to deliver NPI Projects, process creation, process improvements, and business integrations across all aspects of our DePuy Synthes markets. Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a broad range of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions regarding engineering problems and methods, and represents the business to solve problems and to plan and coordinate work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on execution by leadership, teamwork, project management, and communication skills
- Expert change agent. Drives to create and transform critical business processes.
- Manages large cross-functional service projects and multi-generational service projects that are portfolios of related projects.
- Trainer to the team members to increase knowledge of product launch from a service perspective, process improvement tools, and analytical tools.
- Reviews and analyzes complex task statements, specifications, engineering drawings, and other documentation to determine engineering requirements.
- Directs the preparation of milestone charts, manpower and material estimate inputs, and related material needed to define program schedules.
- Determines program objectives and requirements, organizes programs and projects, and develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities
- Uses engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems.
- Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other worldwide organizations and companies.
- Uses acquired skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues. Selects research problems to further the organization's objectives.
- Recommends facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs that are directly related to and directed toward fulfillment of overall organizational objectives.
- Conceives and plans investigations of broad areas of considerable novelty and importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the overall engineering program.
- Consults with higher management on business opportunities and potential problems that may impact the company's business.

Bachelor of Sciencedegree fromanaccredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
6-10years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering is required.
Ability to deliver oral and written communications around process improvement projects is required.
Strong computer skills,includingMicrosoft Office, Mini-tab, andVisio,are required.
Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such asthemedical device industry, is preferred.
Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification or6years of experience preferred.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
