Job Description Primary responsibilities The primary responsibility of this role will be supporting preparation, submission and audit of the annual indirect cost rate proposal. In execution of this assignment, the candidate will be required to perform detailed account analysis and gather all appropriate supporting documentation to create an audit file. Candidates must be able to prepare written explanations as well as discuss audit issues with all levels of management.
Job responsibilities also include support of business system and cost accounting standards (CAS) audits, maintenance and publication of the annual disclosure statements, regulatory requirement research, and analysis of cost transfer requests in preparation for approval.
The qualified candidate must demonstrate technical expertise, analytical abilities and strong interpersonal skills. In addition, the role requires flexibility and the ability to handle several assignments independently.
Required Skillset - Must have an Accounting background
- Must have a minimum of 5 years audit experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
- Customer interface experience with USG and/or external suppliers desired
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to assess business or technical risk and develop corrective actions and mitigation plans.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Must be able to identify trends or patterns in data
Preferred Skillset - Government Regulatory and compliance knowledge
- CPA preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion
- Technical accounting research
