Key Responsibilities:- Identifies, plans and executes complex change control projects requiring conceptual evaluation, design and validation.
- Identifies, plans and executes complex qualification of new equipment/controls and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet engineering standards.
- Identifies and implements standard methodologies of project management.
- Participates in technical design reviews for machine requirements and manufacturing/product specifications.
- Performs concept analysis of capital projects for future project development.
- Provides training and support to Operations Engineers and Technicians to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NCR's, CAPA's, etc).
- Utilizes cross functional collaboration with safety, quality, and operations to meet business objectives.
- Provides mentoring and technical guidance to interns and/or co-ops.
- Displays technical depth and influence within functional team.
- Serves as a change agent by creating a learning culture and experimental mindset within the department and organization to improve business performance.
- Analyze production, yield, scrap, and downtime data
- Apply statistical methods to identify trends, variation, and root causes
- Build dashboards and reports for KPIs (e.g., OEE, cycle time, defect rates)
- Use data tools (SQL, Excel, BI platforms, Tableau) to generate insights
- Pull data from Manufacturing systems (MES / SAP / LIMS / eDHR / historians)
- Ensure data integrity and governance
- Identify and quantify process improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma initiatives
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on manufacturing issues
- Develop data-driven recommendations to improve throughput and quality
- Translate data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
QualificationsEducation:University/Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Experience and Skills:Required:- 4 to 6 years of experience
Preferred:- Operations experience in manufacturing, production supervision, front-line leading
- Experience working with vendors to select, source, quote, and procure off the shelf and custom designed components.
- Experience working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment.
