Job Duties and Responsibilities

Staff Engineer sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, Colorado.

Architecting and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) for complex application builds, testing, and multi-environment promotions. Implementing and managing GitOps Processes for declarative application delivery and orchestrating advanced deployment techniques via Helm and container scheduling technologies. Developing complex, reusable automation tools and workflows in Python and GOlang to manage the software development lifecycle beyond CI/CD (e.g., custom API integrations, automated code release systems). Utilizing Ansible/Chef/Puppet to manage application-level configuration, secrets injection, and post-deployment hardening of services running on Kubernetes. Designing and implementing application observability using Dynatrace, Logz, and New Relic; defining SLIs/SLOs and integrating these tools into the CI/CD feedback loop. Providing technical guidance and promoting DevOps culture across development and operations teams; utilizing Jira and ServiceNow for efficient workflow tracking and incident management. Mentoring development teams on CI/CD best practices, Chaos Engineering principles, and application performance tuning.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Requires Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related technical field plus 3 years of experience in job offered or similar roles. Will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in stated fields plus 5 years of experience in job offered or similar roles; or any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Also requires 3 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $164,112.00/Year - $164,112.00/Year
