Why Consider This Job Opportunity

As a Staff Device Engineer on the Product Integration team, you will lead the development of physics-based models to advance acoustic resonator performance, manufacturability, and reliability. You will work closely with the RF designer team, technology team, and software engineers to apply this deeper device-level insight toward the development of high-performance RF filters for mass production. This role provides a significant opportunity to shape key technical decisions, guide cross-functional efforts, and apply your expertise to solve complex challenges in mobile device technology.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Lead the development and improvement of physics-based models that enhance acoustic resonator simulation accuracy and support overall RF filter performance.
  • Direct the analysis of acoustic, electrical, and thermal behaviors to identify performance limits, trade-offs, and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the review and interpretation of large-scale RF data and measurement results to improve modeling fidelity and inform design and technology decisions.
  • Support experimentation, prototyping, and characterization activities that contribute to technology advancement and product development milestones.
  • Contribute to the continued development of XBAR device knowledge and participate in shaping long-term technology direction.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers working on device modeling, characterization, and performance optimization.


What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Master's or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of industry experience in device engineering, RF/acoustics, modeling, or semiconductor/MEMS.
  • Demonstrated ownership of major device models, methods, or systems with minimal supervision.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Hands-on experience with SAW, BAW, XBAR, or MEMS device design or characterization.
  • Background in semiconductor, MEMS, or acoustic filter fabrication and process integration.
  • Strong proficiency with FEM/multiphysics tools (e.g., COMSOL, FEMTET).
  • Experience supporting technology or product development for high-volume commercial applications.


Travel

Domestic travel between California offices is required.

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $260,000

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as competitive benefits.
