Position Summary
Staff Data Engineer:
As an integral part of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize attribution models, ensuring accurate measurement of marketing campaign effectiveness.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced data solutions supporting billing, reporting and any other systems within the team’s scope.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to refine and improve data processes.
- Design and maintain scalable and optimized data pipelines for efficient collection, processing, and storage of data.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to validate and iterate on data processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineer and ad tech.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Requires at least 8 years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
- Proven experience in delivering data engineering solutions in ad tech industry.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and Scala.
- Experience in working with Kubernetes and stream data processing frameworks (Flink, Apache Ignite)
- Proficient in working with big data technologies and databases (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL, and MapReduce).
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or similar
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and experience with relevant tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Skills and Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RESTful API.
- Experience with Golang
- Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
- Knowledge of end-to-end digital advertising ecosystems and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Snowflake and related technologies
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA is expected to be between $190,000 ~ $215,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
