RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Top Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer – Cyber Team Lead (26-341) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, or Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. The Global Cyber Team Lead reports to the Global Platform and Infrastructure Engineering Manager and oversees all Global Cyber activities linked to the Task Order 60 contract. They will collaborate closely with the TO60 Chief Cyber Engineer to enhance efficiency and pinpoint areas for improvement, ensuring that Global Cyber efforts align with the broader directives of the C2BMC National Team. Ultimately, the Team Lead is responsible for the team's technical execution and for maintaining cost and schedule compliance from an EVM perspective. Essential Functions: • Will be responsible for defining long-term cyber goals, creating a detailed plan to achieve them, and consistently following this plan throughout each stage of the Agile process. • Will play a critical role in increasing Global Cyber awareness among the BC customers and enabling greater emphasis on cyber compliance and preparation across the Software development cycle • Will be responsible for tracking and maintaining multiple higher-than-secret and collateral-level authorization packages, as well as other major test events that include the Cyber organization as a whole • The team lead will be relied upon to integrate with other Global product teams and assist in the overall success of the contract's mission • Applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles and contributes to the development of new concepts and principles • Works on unusually complex problems with consultative direction • Incorrect decisions can lead to failure in reaching key organizational goals and harm the organization's technological reputation • Guides top management and clients on complex technical research and applications • Experience in management or leadership skills required • A confident and engaged leader with proven experience guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful technical implementations • Strong working knowledge of IA concepts, including patch management, two-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management, and defense-in-depth • Must have experience in IA requirement generation, IA architecture design, IA audit tools, and IA compliance for mission systems • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage complex organizational relationships are essential • Experience in preparing technical documents and conveying technical IA issues and reports clearly to senior government and military officials is required Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline from an accredited university, along with 12 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a related field with 10 years of relevant work experience; or 16 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree • Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IASAE Level II or higher (such as CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP, CISSP-ISSEP, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period • Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be read on to SCI clearance • Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs • Strong background in cybersecurity analysis, including knowledge of the following: • Identity and Access Management, vulnerability management, compliance management, and security infrastructure for databases and enterprise information • Proficiency in implementing cybersecurity principles and requirements relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation • Experience evaluating and validating cybersecurity requirements • Knowledge of Cybersecurity systems engineering principles • Knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, and directory services such as DNS • Knowledge of STIG application and operating system hardening • Knowledge of cyber technologies (e.g., ESS, Splunk, ACAS) and how they affect a mission system • Experience in cyber threat assessment and risk management for a mission system • Knowledge of cyber operations and operational impacts • Experience in Continuous Monitoring and Authorization Preferred Qualifications: • Applicants with a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance at the time of application are highly desired • Desired experience hardening Windows and Linux servers and workstations in accordance with GPOs, IAVMs, and STIGs • Desired recent experience and familiarity with creating and updating A&A packages • Network design and software engineering backgrounds are a plus What We Can Offer You: Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment that encourages your growth, benefiting both employees and the company. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
