About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Staff CPQ Administrator to join our team during an exciting period of technological transformation. We are currently evaluating our overall CPQ strategy and are exploring a potential migration from Salesforce CPQ to a next-generation platform like DealHub.
The ideal candidate will be a hybrid expert with deep, hands-on experience in Salesforce CPQ and, ideally, experience with DealHub (or similar modern CPQ solutions). You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our current Salesforce CPQ instance using lean, "skeleton" framework models, while actively serving as a key architectural and administrative driver for our future CPQ state.
This position sits within the broader Salesforce team supporting Sojern's business operations across Sales, Client Success, Operations, Product Management, Legal, and Finance. You will ensure our quoting systems meet urgent business requirements today while paving a seamless, flexible path for our upcoming CPQ evolution.
Responsibilities: Strategic Architecture & Potential Migration
- Act as the internal champion and technical lead for our CPQ transformation and a potential system migration (e.g., transitioning from Salesforce CPQ to DealHub).
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external consultants to evaluate and design future CPQ architecture, ensuring it supports our long-term sales strategies, pricing, and product structures.
- Assist in formulating and executing data migration strategies between Salesforce instances, including accounts, opportunities, CPQ objects, and non-CPQ contracts.
- Build and maintain "skeleton framework models" within the legacy Salesforce CPQ system to meet urgent, immediate business needs without over-engineering a platform that may eventually be retired.
System Administration & Support
- Design, develop, and administer CPQ solutions (managing our current Salesforce CPQ footprint while preparing for a transformative shift) and ensure seamless integration with our Salesforce infrastructure.
- Handle Tier 2 support tickets and perform project tasks including product setup, quoting processes, and the creation of price/product rules.
- Manage approvals related to CPQ and make proactive changes based on business requirements.
- Ensure data is accurately passed and maintained across Salesforce, Netsuite, and our internal Portal 3.0 system to maintain clear systems of record.
- Assist with developing complex declarative automation on the Sales Cloud and Service Cloud implementations (e.g., building Flows, field updates).
Business Partnering & Enablement
- Consult and manage the needs of cross-functional business partners including Pricing, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Leadership, translating functional requirements into technical builds.
- Gather requirements to deliver and communicate enhancements to platform stakeholders.
- Provide comprehensive end-user support and training tailored to both the current Salesforce CPQ processes and upcoming workflow changes.
- Create and maintain robust technical and functional documentation on system configurations, migration mapping, and support resources.
Requirements:- CPQ Experience: 5+ years of hands-on administration experience with Salesforce CPQ or DealHub . Experience evaluating and implementing CPQ tooling is highly desired (preferrably DealHub experience)
- Salesforce Experience: 5+ years of Salesforce administrative and functional design experience.
- AI & Automation: Demonstrated interest or experience in evaluating and integrating AI tools to streamline CRM/CPQ processes and boost operational efficiency.
- Transformation Expertise: Demonstrable experience migrating, modernizing, or transforming complex CPQ systems (specifically moving off Salesforce CPQ to another vendor is a major plus).
- Certifications: Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist certification (CPQ 301) is strongly preferred.
- Cloud Knowledge: Deep understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Consulting Background: Previous CPQ consulting experience is a strong bonus (exposure to a wide range of CPQ implementations and architectures).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel knowledge and comfort with complex data sets.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills to effectively manage change and ambiguity across the organization.
