Role SummaryIn this role, the staff camera ISP tuning engineer will drive the development of best-in-class camera systems for deployment in Rivian vehicles. This is a high impact role as these camera systems serve all aspects of autonomy, driver assistance and driver convenience.
The staff camera ISP tuning engineer would be a highly competent image quality engineer with in-depth knowledge of image signal processor (ISP), optics, CMOS image sensor, and camera system integration.
Responsibilities- Design and execute camera image signal processor tuning plans for ADAS cameras
- Develop lab setups and test protocols for camera calibration and image quality evaluation
- Drive image quality optimization by working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Innovate new technologies for optimizing ISP performance for machine perception
Qualifications- BS or higher degree in Imaging Sciences, Color Sciences, Optics or related fields
- 8+ years of work experience on IQ and ISP tuning
- In-depth knowledge of ISP algorithms and tuning parameters
- Experience in performing ISP tuning for production cameras
- Familiarity with camera components and functions
- Hands-on experience with camera image quality measurement

Pay DisclosurePay Range: The salary range for this role is $186,000 - $232,000 annually for Bay Area based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
