D&W Fine Pack is seeking an early-career accounting professional to join our corporate team as a
Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or developing accountant who wants broad exposure to financial reporting, capital accounting, budgeting, and audit support. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance leadership, corporate departments, and plant controllers across the organization.
The Staff Accountant analyzes financial information, prepares financial reports, maintains records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss. This position supports capital tracking, reporting, audits, bank examinations, and asset valuation processes. The Staff Accountant also provides reporting and budgeting support to corporate departments.
Work Arrangement & Compensation:This position will initially work onsite at our Wood Dale, Illinois, location during the training period. After successful completion of training, and based on business needs and performance, the position may be eligible to work remotely up to three days per week.
The base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000 annually. Actual starting salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications and job-related skills.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accounting records by processing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and preparing and reviewing financial statements and other financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established reporting and procedural standards.
- Support capital tracking, analysis and reporting, including monitoring compliance with corporate capital policies and serving as a liaison to other departments and plant controllers.
- Review monthly financial reports for unusual variances or outliers and conduct research to determine whether adjustments are required.
- Support audit, bank examination, and asset valuation processes by communicating required deliverables to internal stakeholders and ensuring that requested information is complete and submitted timely.
- Assist with developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets for the corporate departments and prepare related monthly reports.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance field
- 0 - 3 years of Accounting experience; relevant accounting internship experience preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
