THE ROLE:
The Staff Accountant supports the accounting operations of multiple brands across a growing multi-state healthcare platform. This role partners closely with the Brand Controller and Finance leadership to execute month-end close activities, maintain accurate financial records, support financial reporting, and assist with acquisition integrations. The Brands Staff Accountant also collaborates with cross-functional teams and offshore accounting resources to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations while supporting the continued growth of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities- Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement reviews, and other general accounting functions for assigned brands
- Support financial reporting, variance analysis, audit requests, intercompany reconciliations, and the allocation of corporate costs across brands, divisions, and locations
- Partner with Brand Leadership and Finance teams to provide accurate financial information, maintain reporting accuracy, and support business decision-making
- Assist with the supervision, training, and development of offshore accounting and accounts payable team members to ensure high-quality execution and process consistency
- Support acquisition and integration activities, including transitioning accounting processes, banking relationships, and financial systems for newly acquired brands
- Collaborate cross-functionally with People Operations, IT, FP&A, Revenue Cycle, and other departments to support organizational initiatives and financial operations
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, controls, and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with GAAP and company policies
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a related field
- Understanding of GAAP accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Big 4, national, or regional public accounting firm experience preferred
- Experience supporting multi-location organizations, healthcare organizations, or acquisition integrations preferred
- Experience working with or supporting offshore teams preferred

The expected California Pay Range for this position:
$80,080-$89,398 USD
