Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required
Must maintain a valid California Drivers' License and proof of insurance

Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain financial records tracking assets, liabilities, and profit/loss
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies in financial record-keeping
Understand and execute full cycle accounting per GAAP standards
Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit/loss and balance sheet
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly
Organize accounts payable processes to manage the AP cycle
Review and code invoices, reconciling AP sub versus GL accounts and close monthly books
Reconcile cash disbursement accounts and post cash receipts

Full Job Description
What you will do:
Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, accounts receivable, purchasing, and other related financial activities.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and Agency policies and procedures.
Understands Full cycle accounting in accordance to GAAP
Prepares monthly Financial statements, P&L and BS
Full reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Organize and have an AP process in place to manage the AP cycle.
Maintains the accuracy of the liability section of the General Ledger
Reviews and codes invoices, reconciles AP sub vs GL accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, and posts cash receipts
Must haves:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
Must maintain a valid California Drivers' License, have proof of automobile insurance and maintain a safe driving record based on Skilled Management policy
Proficiency in MS Office systems
Would be great:
Experience working in the senior care industry
