Job Summary:The Staff Accountant supports the organization's financial operations by performing a variety of accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role ensures accuracy and compliance in all financial records while assisting with audits, budgeting processes, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Review revenue and manage billing processing procedures on an on-going basis and bring to attention any issues regarding accounting, business procedures or finances.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Liaise with various departments to ensure accuracy and timely recording of financial information, resolve any issue where required.
- Oversee issuing of checks / payment of invoices.
- Maintain General ledgers and prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements end financial reports
- Offer insight and suggest ways to improve revenue growth
- Establish, maintain and monitor revenue control risk, including an audit program to ensure revenue is generated according to contracted terms - maximizing revenue and minimizing loss.
- Along with VP of Finance, prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue reports, as well as documentations of financial arrangements and profitability
- Train staff members in new revenue control policies and collaborate with other staff regarding revenue systems evaluations and improvements
Qualifications:- 5-7 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, analytical roles, or audit functions.
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related area
- CPA designation is an asset but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully manage relationships with clients, company executives, operational staff, sales staff, and co-workers
- Strong Analytical skills which involve financial analysis, key trends analysis and business case analysis.
- Skilled at establishing and working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic team environment with multiple and priorities
- Experience with a fully integrated accounting systems
- Team player with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
The salary range is $70,000 - $110,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth's total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
