Full Job Description
The team:

You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative Accounting & Finance team that truly partners with Operations and Supply Chain. We value curiosity, ownership, and teamwork, and we believe the best results come from people who aren't afraid to ask questions, dig deeper, and help each other out. As we continue to grow, the team plays a key role in building scalable processes while staying close to the day-to-day realities of the business.

The role:

This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory, in-transit inventory, cogs accounts and reconciliations. You will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Accounting, owning the reconciliation process end-to-end as we continue to scale.

This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role. You should genuinely enjoy working with inventory data, reconciling physical vs. system quantities, analyzing variances, and making sure numbers truly reflect what's happening operationally.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the monthly reconciliation of inventory related accounts, including physical counts vs. system records and cutoff procedures.
  • Prepare and post inventory-related journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reclasses with proper supporting documentation.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain to analyze inventory movements, waste, shrinkage, yield, and cost variances.
  • Ensure accurate COGS recognition related to food and packaging.
  • Participate actively in the monthly close process, ensuring inventory balances are complete, accurate, and completed on time.
  • Identify inventory and costing issues, investigate root causes, and propose practical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory rollforwards and supporting schedules.
  • Support internal controls related to inventory processes.
  • Assist with external audits, especially inventory and cost-related requests.
  • Support ERP processes and improvements (including implementations, automation and/or optimizations).
  • Perform P&L and Balance Sheet analysis related to inventory, costs, and margins.
  • Ensure inventory accounting complies with US GAAP standards.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Inventory Accounting.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Non-negotiable: Strong, hands-on experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations.
  • US GAAP knowledge required.
  • Solid understanding of costing methodologies and inventory flows.
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes and month-end close.
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow established processes.
  • Ability to manage routine tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience managing accounting and reporting for multi-currency entities.
