YOUR IMPACT

As a Lead Variable Compensation Analyst at OpenText, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and effectiveness of our sales compensation programs. This position sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, and Operations, giving you the opportunity to influence business outcomes, drive process improvements, and support a high-performing global sales organization. Your expertise will help ensure our sales teams are motivated, compensated accurately, and equipped with the insights they need to achieve their goals.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for sales compensation inquiries, plan interpretation, and performance validation.
• Lead and oversee commission calculation processes, reporting, audits, and exception management to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Variable Compensation Analysts, fostering best practices and professional development.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations teams to support compensation programs and strategic business objectives.
• Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc reporting, providing insights into compensation performance and operational metrics.
• Create compensation models and analyses for special compensation requests, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, sales operations, compensation administration, or a related analytical function.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze large datasets and develop complex models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience communicating findings and recommendations to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational excellence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
• Experience with sales compensation systems such as Anaplan or Xactly is preferred.

Salary Range: $76,800-$115,200; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
