Full Job Description

Positions located in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York follow a hybrid work model to allow for a more collaborative working environment.

Candidates responding to this posting must independently possess the eligibility to work in the United States, for any employer, at the date of hire. This position is ineligible for employment Visa sponsorship.

Overall Purpose

As a Senior UX Designer on the UX Design and Research team, you will work across Zelle® and Certos product initiatives - designing experiences, contributing to UX standards, and partnering closely with product, engineering, and financial institution partners to bring well-considered, trustworthy design to market.

This is a hands-on IC role. You will own design work end-to-end: from understanding user needs, to shaping flows and interactions, to delivering polished, production-ready work. What makes this role distinct is the breadth - you will develop fluency across a payments and identity ecosystem that very few designers get to work inside.

We are looking for someone with strong craft, genuine curiosity about how financial systems work, and the drive to do their best work in a complex, high-stakes environment. Hunger and range matter more here than a long title history.

Essential Functions

  • Design acrossZelle®and CertosTMproduct surfaces - consumer-facing flows, partner-facing guidelines, and everything in between

  • Translate complex payment and identity concepts into experiences that feel simple, clear, and trustworthy to end users

  • Build wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes from early concept through delivery

  • Contribute to UX guidelines and standards that partner financial institutions implement across theZelle®network

  • Participate in user research and usability testing; turn findings into clear design decisions

  • Share work in critiques, give and receive feedback constructively, and help raise the craft bar across the team

  • Stay close to the competitive landscape - understanding how peers in payments and e-commerce are solving similar problems

Minimum qualifications

  • Minimum of 5years of UX/product design experience, with a portfolio showing strong craft and clear thinking on complex products

  • Some grounding in payments, fintech, banking, or a comparably complex ecosystem - you understand that financial products carry real stakes for real people

  • Strong visual design sensibility: typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction detail-  youcare about the quality of your output

  • Proficiency in Figma; comfortable with prototyping and usability testing tools

  • Clear communicator - in design reviews, in documentation, and with non-design partners

  • Self-directed: you manage your own workstream, ask good questions when you need to, and do not wait to be told what to do next

  • Collaborative and receptive to feedback:you have a point ofviewand you hold it lightly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with payment flows, checkout UX, or identity verification products

  • Familiarity with how payment rails work — enough to design around the constraints, not just the happy path

  • Experience contributing to design systems or UX standards documentation

  • Webflowor front-end familiarity (HTML/CSS) as a strong bonus

  • Experience with usability testing tools such as UserTesting, Maze, or Lookback, etc.

Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.
