Senior Transportation Engineer - RoadwayLocation: Farmington Hill, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time
What You'll Work On- Lead plan production for roadway and freeway design using MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with MDOT, local agencies, consultants, and contractors.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
- Apply engineering expertise and specialized software to solve complex transportation challenges.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design services.
- Prepare quantities and construction cost estimates for bidding.
- Support storm sewer drainage design, pavement markings, signing plans, and maintenance of traffic plans.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license required.
- 8+ years of experience in roadway engineering, especially with MDOT and local agency projects.
- Proficiency in MicroStation/ORD is essential.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HY8, and StormCAD is a plus.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Desire to coordinate and collaborate with junior staff
- Ability to travel to project and client sites as needed.
