Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. TPM on the Server Hardware Engineering team you will be responsible for leading multiple simultaneous hardware product development programs in a highly cross-functional environment which includes internal customers, external vendors and technology partners. You'll provide leadership in the application of new technologies to large scale server deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience at a world-class cost point. This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, and you'll work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You'll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you'll be constantly looking for ways to improve your product's performance, quality and cost. Using data and key metrics, you will also drive and measure process improvements that enhance our operational effectiveness. You will work independently in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-changing organization. About the team
The team is comprised of Hardware Design Engineers, System Design Engineers, and Technical Program Managers, all with the common goal of delivering the best specialized server fleet possible to our customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- Experience managing complex hardware systems and programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Extensive experience managing complex hardware systems and programs, building processes, complicated schedules with many dependencies, identifying risks, trade-offs, designing 2-way doors
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
