Full Job Description
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) you will be responsible for owning the program roadmap and ensuring the strategic vision is executed. You will be responsible for gathering customer requirements, project prioritization, software quality, and system delivery. You will drive engineering teams to deliver, unblock innovation, and influence the architecture decisions critical to system development.

As a Sr. TPM, you will lead and work with a talented team to innovate and deliver distributed software systems responsible for operational tooling applications built to execute the Leo mission. You will work with engineering teams across ground and space systems to understand how the system functions and deliver an integrated solution to prepare for and execute the mission. Because of the scale of the mission, you will be focused on creating performant applications and systems and driving operational excellence: identifying areas of improvement and initiating changes to improve the productivity of the fleet.

The engineering teams you work with will build and maintain the tooling system used across Leo to support activities like launch and on-orbit demonstration, operational rehearsals, constellation automation, as well as numerous other critical mission functions. While this tooling system is mostly frontend applications, you will also own the program strategy and delivery of the backend systems that support these applications.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, an excellent communicator, have strong organizational skills, able to work independently, can juggle multiple tasks at once, and ensure deliverables meet requirements and deadlines. You should have strong knowledge of software engineering practices, understand system architecture and technical trade-offs, and enjoy driving complex cross-functional programs end-to-end while actively mentoring others in program management best practices.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
