Job Summary
Manages critical technical accounting processes to ensure compliance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Primary Activities and Responsibilities
  • Research GAAP accounting questions and present to management.
  • Manage certain technical accounting processes that include regular meetings with business partners and decision making based on the nature of transactions and the relevant accounting guidance.
  • Monthly and quarterly preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance or comparative analyses, and preparation of financial statement disclosures.
  • Research accounting conclusions for complex or non-routine transactions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned accounting areas and provide guidance to business partners.
  • Research current processes and evaluate for automation, simplification, and consistency across all companies.
  • Provide recommendations on standard policy and compliance best practices for accounting and help to ensure processes are Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant.
  • Review and analyze internal and external reporting information.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree from an accredited institution required in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 3 or more years of experience in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Eligible


Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of SOX regulatory standards
  • Knowledge of SEC reporting standards
  • Accounting research skills
