Full Job Description
Kamatics is seeking an Order Process Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Order Processing function within Manufacturing Engineering. This role ensures that all order processing activities and production drawings meet customer requirements related to cost, quality, and delivery while driving team performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the Order Process team to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy, and quality
  • Set clear performance expectations; provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members
  • Promote a strong team environment through communication, accountability, and leadership by example
  • Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure balanced workloads and timely completion of orders
  • Monitor and track performance metrics to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support business needs
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales
  • Ensure order processing and production drawings meet contract and customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain documentation and controls to support compliance and consistency
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to management
  • Drive Lean initiatives to improve cost, throughput, product flow, quality, and delivery
  • Identify and implement process improvements; streamline workflows across manufacturing cells
  • Lead or support projects to meet cost, quality, and timeline objectives
  • Troubleshoot issues related to machining and assembly processes; partner with internal teams to resolve
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in alignment with 5S standards
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies
  • Deliver a high level of service to both internal and external customers
  • Support cross-training and contribute to team flexibility as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal)

Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, production flow, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints; GD&T knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD/drafting concepts is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels
  • Proven leadership ability with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Results-driven and dependable

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Frequent computer work (typing, sitting)
  • Occasional walking and standing
