Take a leading role in the transfer of new products from development to pilot production. Interface with all groups to ensure that new products are introduced on schedule and that production and cost goals are met. Actively participate with Design Engineering in the design of new products and train Production to manufacture them. Work on multidisciplinary projects of considerable complexity and contribute technically to the success of these projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise and leadership in the solution of difficult production, product, and process problems, especially at the system level. Resolution of these problems typically requires knowledge and understanding of electrical, mechanical, and optical subsystems and their interactions in the fabrication, integration, test, and operation of finished camera systems. Document solutions and train others as needed.
- Take a lead role in planning and carrying out successful transitions of new products from development to pilot production and on into full production in accordance with the New Product Introduction process.
