Full Job Description
We are looking to add an exceptionally talented Senior Systems Engineer to our growing Data Center Solutions team within the Power Products organization. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the definition, development, and integration of next-generation power infrastructure solutions for data center customers, working across hardware, software, communications, cybersecurity, and digital services domains while utilizing agile development methodologies.

The Sr. System Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Lead system definition and requirements development for data center power and infrastructure management solutions.
  • Develop system-level use cases and operational scenarios for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge data center applications.
  • Define and manage system requirements covering power distribution, switchgear, monitoring, controls, communications, cybersecurity, and cloud connectivity.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams to capture scalable and resilient system architectures that meet data center availability requirements
  • Support functional safety, reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance efforts throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintaining the System Documentation to keep it consistent throughout the system development and release
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure the system design is understood and flowed down for end-to-end consistency.
  • Presenting the status and activity outputs to project stakeholders

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience performing Systems Engineering in complex multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in electrical, mechanical, software, systems, or computer science engineering
  • Experience developing complex systems involving power electronics, electrical distribution, embedded systems, software applications, and communications networks.
  • Experience capturing system architectures and requirements for mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies, requirements management, traceability, verification, and validation.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools preferred.
  • Experience working with customer-facing technical requirements and translating business needs into engineering requirements.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems, critical power infrastructure, or energy management systems.
  • Strong communication skills working across multi discipline groups and complex organizations.


Preferred Skills
  • 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Experience with data center infrastructure including UPS, switchgear, power distribution units (PDUs), rack power systems, cooling integration, and monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of data center standards and best practices
  • Experience with requirements management and systems engineering tools such as Jama, Doors NG, Jira, Azure DevOps, Cameo/MagicDraw, or Enterprise Architect.
  • Understanding of high-availability and fault-tolerant system design principles.
  • Experience supporting verification, validation, and system integration testing of complex power systems.


Where:

This position is in the Raleigh Hub. It may require approximately 10% travel to affiliate sites, suppliers, and customers.

For this U.S. based position, the expected TOTAL pay range is USD 117,600 - USD 176,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
