We are hiring a
Systems Engineer in Pittsfield, MA to support the
Regional Strike Program focused on advanced defense systems integration, verification & validation (V&V), and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). This role requires experience with
systems engineering lifecycle processes, MBSE/SysML, requirements management tools, hardware/software integration, V&V testing, Agile engineering, and AI-assisted engineering workflows supporting mission-critical DoD programs.
Responsibilities:- Support test & integration engineering, including hardware/software verification, validation (V&V), and performance testing
- Assist with requirements engineering, including documentation, analysis, and traceability
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for system modeling, simulations, and design analysis
- Contribute to hardware systems engineering, including system integration and troubleshooting
- Participate in design trade studies and system analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system development and integration
- Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools for requirements analysis, test documentation, and reporting
Qualifications:- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance required at time of hire
- 2+ years of systems engineering or related experience
- Fundamentals of systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, integration, testing)
- Exposure to requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Cameo)
- Basic understanding of MBSE / SysML
- Knowledge of verification & validation (V&V) processes
- Hardware/software integration fundamentals
- AI & Digital Engineering:
- Familiarity with AI tools for engineering workflows (requirements, testing, documentation)
- Understanding of responsible AI usage in controlled environments (CUI/proprietary data)
- Interest in adopting AI-enabled engineering practices
- Preferred:
- Experience in Agile environments
- Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technical concepts
