Responsibilities

  • Ensure materials availability for successful execution of the supply plan and communicate shortages to relevant departments.
  • Create and assess scenarios and execute Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) with production units.
  • Aid in the development and monitoring of KPIs for supply chain processes and manage Master Data in SAP IBP.
  • Act as the deputy for S&OP Facilitator/Demand Planner, supporting overall supply chain initiatives.
  • Monitor and release process orders, prepare analysis on production/planning performance, including overdue orders.
  • Ensure correct material reservations and ownership of the Global Specs Process in designated areas.
  • Convert the supply plan into process orders and coordinate hand-over meetings with scheduling departments.

Full Job Description
A brief overview

The Senior Supply Planner serves as the primary point of contact for all supply planning activities within the assigned production area. This role is accountable for ensuring the timely availability of inventory to meet demand through the development and execution of both short-term and long-term supply plans. The Senior Supply Planner drives continuous optimization of the supply chain and proactively adapts planning strategies to evolving business requirements, working cross-functionally with Production, Project Management, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Quality to achieve operational and strategic objectives. The Senior Supply Planner will be responsible for Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for the long term period. Work with Production Team to determine plan feasibility and ensure optimal resource utilization. Creates Scenario Planning and support the Multi Year Plan process with GSCM.

What you will do

  • Ensures materials availability (raw materials, intermediate products, technical material) to achieve the supply plan successfully and gives feedback on any shortages or changes to the corresponding departments.
  • Creates and assesses scenarios and RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Planning) in coordination with the corresponding production unit
  • Assist in developing business tools and processes to capture and monitor KPI's for supply chain processes. Maintain Master Data in SAP IBP tool and serve as key user.
  • Deputy of the S&OP Facilitator/Demand Planner.
  • Monitors and releases the process orders and prepares corresponding analyzes and reports, including past due production/planning.
  • Ensures the correct material reservation for all reservation types in his area. Owner of Global Specs Process.
  • Converts the supply plan into corresponding process orders and carries out the hand-over meeting with the scheduling department
  • Creates and maintains planning master data in SAP such as recipes (Bill of materials/resources), disposition views, and other master data in SAP relevant to planning


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Engineering, Bsuiness Management, Supply Chain Management or similar field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning for Active Pharmaceutical ingredient (APIs) development-related industries, Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace, others required or
  • Equivalent Business degree in another area with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning within relevant markets such as biotech, chemical or pharma required
  • Experience with planning production and materials in or regulated industry (e.g. FDA) required
  • Excellent skills with working in a multi-culture environment
  • Ability to simulate supply situation and capacity planning
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and to support day-to-day activities
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP (Hanna, IBP) or Oracle
  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expert computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project is a plus
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is flexible in adapting to changing trends in the business and requests
  • Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner
  • Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)-APICS In progress preferred


Base Annual Salary Range: $88,197.60 - $121,271.70

Placement of new hires in this wage range is based on several factors including education, skill sets, experience, and training.
