About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Chassis Systems to drive best-in-class product quality throughout the product development and industrialization process. This highly visible role requires deep technical expertise, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

As a key member of the Supplier Industrialization organization, you will be responsible for developing and maturing chassis components and manufacturing processes at supplier locations globally. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure products are successfully industrialized and launched while meeting Lucid's high standards for quality, reliability, and performance.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on supplier quality and manufacturing expertise with a proven track record of APQP, PPAP, supplier development, and automotive product launches.

What You'll Own
Supplier Industrialization & Launch Readiness
  • Lead and continuously improve APQP activities with suppliers from initial design release through PPAP approval and start of production.
  • Drive supplier readiness to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, timing, and capacity objectives.
  • Support new product launches and production ramp readiness activities across global suppliers.
  • Ensure parts and processes achieve required maturity levels throughout development and industrialization phases.
Design for Manufacturing & Product Development
  • Lead Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A) reviews to ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated early in product development.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering teams to define quality expectations and improve manufacturability of chassis components.
  • Support implementation of quality and reliability best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure robust validation and industrialization plans are established for new products and manufacturing processes.
Supplier Development & Performance Management
  • Conduct supplier assessments, manufacturing audits, and onsite process evaluations.
  • Develop and implement supplier improvement plans to enhance quality, capability, and manufacturing performance.
  • Track supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support sourcing decisions through supplier capability and manufacturing readiness evaluations.
Engineering Change Management
  • Drive and track supplier execution of engineering design changes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful implementation of product and process changes.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal teams to minimize launch and production risks associated with engineering changes.
  • Monitor change activities to ensure quality, timing, and business objectives are achieved.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Design Engineering, Purchasing, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Material Planning, and Plant Supplier Quality teams.
  • Ensure proper development and validation of chassis components and manufacturing processes.
  • Support issue resolution activities to protect Lucid manufacturing operations and customer quality.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively across all stakeholder groups.
Compliance & Data Analysis
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, VDA, AIAG Core Tools, and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Analyze supplier and assembly plant data to assess capability, process performance, and quality outcomes.
  • Utilize statistical and quality methodologies to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions through structured problem-solving methodologies.

What You'll Bring
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Research & Development, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on APQP and PPAP project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of chassis systems and associated manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product development lifecycles and quality gate processes.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally between 25% and 75% as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Automotive industry experience supporting chassis systems and components.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following manufacturing processes:

Work Requirement

This position requires close collaboration with suppliers and Lucid teams globally. Candidates should be comfortable working across different cultures, manufacturing environments, and time zones.

Travel requirements range from approximately 25% to 75% and may include both planned and short-notice domestic and international travel to supplier and Lucid locations worldwide.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$105,700-$145,310 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
