  • Drive accuracy, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvements in a complex, highly regulated environment.

  • Review designated accounts for reasonableness and accuracy, evaluating and recording necessary adjustments prior to period close.
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely, ensuring appropriate account classification, balanced entries, and adequate supporting documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for journal entries, including review of entries prepared by others.
  • Perform special analyses and research for departments, vendors, audits, cost reports, tax reporting, fixed asset management, and cash-related items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with a senior-level accounting role.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with substantial responsibility for fixed assets and/or CIP.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large fixed-asset portfolios (at least hundreds of millions of dollars).

  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting external audits.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and fixed-asset modules.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage priorities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare, nonprofit, or other highly regulated industry experience.
