Position Summary

The Senior Specialist - Production Scheduler reports to the Director Make Ready and serves as a key business partner supporting production planning, scheduling, reporting, and operational performance across the Make Ready organization. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, maintaining the integrity of critical operational data, analyzing production metrics, and providing reporting and business insights that support strategic and day-to-day decision making.

The Senior Specialist collaborates with operations leadership, project management, technical services, vendors, and field personnel to ensure production activities are accurately planned, tracked, and executed while supporting continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage production scheduling activities across all Make Ready operating regions to support operational priorities and resource utilization.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze production reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to provide operational visibility and support management decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary steward for Make Ready master data within SAP, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established business processes.
  • Partner with Make Ready leadership to develop and maintain work orders and production schedules within SAP.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager - Make Ready to review project scope, production schedules, milestones, and resource requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Monitor engine rebuild and compressor maintenance activities by coordinating updates from vendors and internal stakeholders and maintaining production tracking systems.
  • Analyze and maintain Major Maintenance and Make Ready operational data to support planning, forecasting, and fleet readiness initiatives.
  • Coordinate engine swing and rebuild documentation with field operations to ensure accurate asset history and maintenance records.
  • Support training initiatives by maintaining reporting, tracking completion metrics, and assisting with operational training coordination.
  • Prepare and distribute operational reports in support of Technical Services, fleet operations, and executive leadership.
  • Maintain documentation standards and ensure production records are complete, accurate, and readily accessible.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, scheduling workflows, and data management practices through standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Provide analytical support for operational planning, forecasting, and special projects that advance departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with Operations, Technical Services, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support business priorities.
  • Lead or participate in departmental initiatives and special projects requiring independent judgment, planning, and execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business operations.


Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Five to eight years of progressively responsible experience in production scheduling, operations coordination, maintenance planning, project support, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience working within SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate operational data and recommend practical solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems.
  • Ability to interpret production schedules, maintenance information, and operational performance metrics.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and manage assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in reporting and data management.
  • Knowledge of general business and accounting principles is beneficial.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Working Conditions
  • Primarily works in a professional office environment with regular use of computer systems and business applications.
  • May occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Position may require extended hours during critical operational periods, project deadlines, outages, or emergency response activities.
