Job Description:

The Clifton, New Jersey Facilities team is seeking Sr Specialist, Facilities Engineering working at the Clifton site. This role leads facility life-cycle infrastructure and capital improvement projects that support manufacturing operations. It also serves as the primary liaison between internal customers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead facility capital improvement, infrastructure, renovation, equipment installation, and life-cycle replacement projects from concept through completion.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, specifications, AutoCAD layouts, and project documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with EH&S, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and Engineering to successfully execute projects.
  • Manage construction activities, contractor performance, work authorizations, change orders, invoices, and project closeout.
  • Establish project priorities, milestones, resource plans, and budgets while tracking schedule and financial performance.
  • Support facility space planning, renovations, office layouts, equipment moves, furniture layouts, and utility infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage facility capital and operating expense budgets while supporting long-range facility planning.
  • Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for facility infrastructure and building systems.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage maintenance activities and work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA, EH&S requirements, applicable building codes, and government regulations.
  • Supervise facility personnel and contractors performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance work.
  • Evaluate facility systems and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Support security, health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the facility.
  • Perform facility audits, develop corrective actions, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • High level of Safety and Customer focus.
  • Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, Risk and Opportunity Management, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, customer personnel, outside agencies, suppliers and others.
  • Ability to lead several projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & MS Project.
  • Ability to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps), as well as a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of local Building codes and AutoCad preferred.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including cost estimating, schedules, and contractor oversight.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners (contractors, designers, A&E).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing small to mid-scale construction or facilities projects.
  • Familiarity with facility infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, controls, mechanical)
  • Project Management experience or certification (e.g., PMI/PMP).
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or highly regulated environments is a plus.


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey area is $91,500.00 - $170,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
