Job Description

The Sr. Specialist, Event Marketing supports the planning and execution of Harbor Freight's in-person events and experiential marketing programs, with a primary focus on showcasing Harbor Freight's product selection to professional users, tradespeople, and customers.

This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of at least three major events per year, including industry trade shows and customer experiences focused on categories such as automotive tools and equipment, construction, and other professional trades relevant to Harbor Freight's product assortment.

This role will work directly on the presentation of Harbor Freight's booths at industry events, including the planograming and storytelling within each booth. The Sr. Specialist will work closely with the Product, Creative, Merchandising, and Social Media functions to bring Harbor Freight's products and brand to life through compelling, well-executed event experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Event Planning & Strategy
    • Support the planning of at least three major trade shows, industry events, or customer-facing experiences annually featuring Harbor Freight's product selection
    • Help create engaging product experiences for professional users, tradespeople, and Harbor Freight customers across categories such as automotive, construction, and other professional trades
    • Partner with Merchandising and internal product teams to identify products and categories that should be featured at events
    • Help develop product assortments and displays that demonstrate the breadth, quality, value, and capabilities of Harbor Freight's product selection
    • Capture learnings and feedback from events to help improve future product presentations and event experiences
  • Event Logistics
    • Coordinate event logistics, including shipping, inventory tracking, packing, receiving, crate organization, and movement of products and materials
    • Order, receive, organize, and manage product inventory for event displays and demonstrations
    • Develop, document, and maintain planograms, product display layouts, and merchandising standards for event spaces
    • Support vendor coordination related to booth builds, production, freight, equipment, and event services
    • Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed, with training provided
  • Event Execution
    • Support booth setup, product displays, demonstrations, merchandising, and on-site event execution
    • Support product demonstrations and experiences designed to engage professional users and customers
    • Participate in event setup and teardown, including hands-on movement and organization of products, displays, and event materials
    • At the event, identify product demonstrations, customer interactions, and event moments that may be valuable for social content or future events
  • Event Marketing Execution
    • Coordinate with Creative and internal partners to develop event graphics, signage, displays, collateral, and other supporting materials
    • Maintain consistency in how Harbor Freight products and the brand are presented across events
    • Partner with the Social Media team to support on-site content capture and amplification of Harbor Freight's presence at events
    • Partner with Harbor Freight's digital channel teams, including Email, Mobile, Web, and Public Relations, to coordinate and execute promotion of Harbor Freight's presence at each event
    • This role requires a minimum of three (3) in-office days per week, with the remaining workdays eligible for remote work, subject to business needs.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $69,500 - $104,200 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
