Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr Specialist, Cyber Intelligence - Systems Administrator to support secure, mission-critical computing environments. This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing information systems and infrastructure in compliance with cybersecurity and government security requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong system administration experience, hands-on knowledge of cyber operations support, and familiarity with compliance frameworks such as DAAPM/DAAG and RMF.

This position requires an individual who can manage system performance, apply security controls, support accreditation activities, and work closely with cybersecurity, engineering, and program teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows and/or Linux-based systems in secure and controlled environments.
  • Perform system configuration, patch management, account management, backups, recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with organizational and government requirements.
  • Support system hardening efforts using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), security baselines, and best practices.
  • Assist with vulnerability management activities, including scanning, remediation, and mitigation tracking.
  • Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts and maintain compliance documentation for accredited systems.
  • Work within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to support security control implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring.
  • Provide support for security audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), engineers, and program stakeholders to resolve system and security issues.
  • Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration management records.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Support incident response and recovery activities as required.
  • Ensure systems are operated and maintained in accordance with classified environment requirements.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience in system administration, cybersecurity operations, or secure systems support. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with DAAG and RMF.
  • Experience applying security hardening practices, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Knowledge of system administration in secure or classified environments.
  • Ability to support compliance documentation and security control implementation.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or classified systems.
  • Familiarity with STIG implementation, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, or similar security tools.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access management, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Knowledge of backup/recovery processes and disaster recovery planning.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CASP+, Linux+, Microsoft, or similar.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and cybersecurity teams.
