Successful canidates will have a technical background with experience in die casting and injection molding. This role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stake holderes. Experience with quality systems/tools including APQP, PPAP, and part qualification desired.
Essential Functions:- Colaborate with suppliers to reduce variability, increase reliability and ensure on-time delivery.
- Focus on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, and data reporting.
- Facilitate Part/Process Qualification through FAI and PPAP.
- Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material.
- Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production.
- Manage the transition from MFS to Molded production material for production material
- Willingness to travel (25% or more), primarily domestic.
- Position requires a minimum of a BS degree (Engineering or STEM)
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with plastic injection molding, die casting, and magnesium alloys
- Experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state, is $84,000 to $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
